Yay! I Taught Myself How to Paint..A Toucan?!

We were to use everything we've learned with color theory to create another texture project this time with an animal. Since I was running out of paints, I chose a toucan. Hoping I would run out of everything at the same time. I didn't want to have a lot of leftover in one color. So we started out with explorations in texture and colors.

During the explorations I hated painting over the texture modeling and didn't like the look once I was finished, so I decided I wouldn't use it on the toucan. I added only small parts on the flowers. So for the toucan I added implied texture and tried to emphasize the feathers.

Since it is widely known I can't paint. I used a really tiny brush and held my breath the whole time. I finished right before I passed out. I also added some glaze on the beak for some shine and texture.
